In a seaside cottage nestled on the small island of Daufuskie, we planted an idea in 2009. Named for the lush cordgrass along our South Carolina coast, Spartina 449 flourished into a specialty lifestyle brand of gorgeous handbags and jewelry inspired by our sea and shore. And what a place this is! Days here are filled with sea turtles and flip flops. Time is measured by the tide. And that mermaid?
