spazioCasa
Childhood was spent gaining insight into the family business; their fathers shop became their playground, and they would often tour the local tile factories with him. In 1993 while visiting his uncle in New Zealand, Maurizio observed that the tile industry in New Zealand was lacking, with little variety or style available. He saw an exciting opportunity and after a few visits to New Zealand in 1995 the Cozzolino brothers launched their business. Starting off boutique, the brothers built the business up, with Maurizio initially operating out of his car with unique Italian tile samples and Paolo helping from Italy, to a small gallery in Maurizio's Mission Bay living room, before opening their first showroom in Mt Wellington in 1996, which is when Paolo came to New Zealand to grow the company further. Together the brothers have enjoyed experiencing a huge demand for their Italian expertise as witnessed by the rapidly expanding business, relishing New Zealand's embrace of Italian design ideals and superior quality. In 2002, the brothers realised the need to build an iconic brand that embraced their ideals and spazioCasa, New Zealand's only authentic Italian bathroom and flooring retailer, was born. about us...
