Spiro's Restaurant
Spiro's is an old-school neighborhood restaurant where the waiters greet their customers by name. The Karagiannis family has a long tradition of excellence in the restaurant business. The four Karagiannis brothers opened the first Spiro's Restaurant in 1975, on Natural Bridge Road, across from University of Missouri, St. Louis. With their unique ethnic cuisine, they quickly established a reputation for quality food and service. This location became the first choice of college students and faculty who wanted a great meal at a good value. Since that time, they have continued to grow and serve the St. Louis community. The brothers have branched off and opened up several other restaurants, even daring to go beyond their famous Greek cuisine. At all of their locations, they bring with them the same commitment to "fine dining at an excellent value" that made the original Spiro's restaurant so successful. M any of the dishes, such as the kasseri cheese appetizer, are sliced, sauced, flamed and plated at tableside for your entertainment. You can order Greek favorites that have become part of the American culinary repertoire, such as Greek salad, spinach pie, gyros and baklava, or you can branch out and try stuffed grape leaves, pan-fried smelt, broiled lamb chops and custard-filled phyllo pastry. Allow enough time to linger over several courses and to accommodate service. We are open 7 days a week, except on most major holidays.
