Security Paper Mill

The company was founded in 1997 by Czech shareholders and continues a 50 years-old tradition of security paper production. Security papers include various ways of protection against counterfeiting. Distinct features provide a documents protection and their security. Currently, our company produced more than 1,000 different types of security papers having unique technical specification and characteristics per customer´s requirements. Among others, our products include, passport, ID and driving license paper, tax stamps, share certificate paper, tickets, postage stamps, checkbooks, bills, vouchers, report cards, diplomas, etc. The paper produced in the SPM is used for the production of papers and documents both domestic and foreign markets. High quality of our product is guaranteed and respected not only on the domestic market, but mainly on the international scale among many matured EU clients where most of our products are exported. We constantly strive to improve our quality and expected requirements that our customers require, as well as to provide additional service and product features for our clients. Our exports makes up about 90 % of our productions and currently we export to 70 countries. All of our products comply with strict norms of EU. SPM, Inc. has unique expertise, state-of-the-art paper production technology, its own development and research centre, as well as production monitoring and security systems. The company has its own internationally accredited test laboratory, which is the only industry-certified laboratory in the Czech Republic. In recent years, SPM has been focused on innovation in Research and Development of specialty papers with unusual or unique characteristics. Over the years we have made many advances in the development of the paper and its security features, such as fast verification of the paper authenticity using a special felt pen "Blanka". Furthermore, we can mention a unique watermark feature, visible only on one side under the UV light, or an application of metal fibers (measured in microns) to the paper which can be electronically detected. A major benefit of the development of security features in paper and the use of IR active pigment which can be detected using a laser pen.
