Sportset's Senior Fitness Program is a leading-edge, full service fitness program for older adults. Established in 1999, the program continues to expand and evolve as one of the premier senior fitness program in the NY Metropolitan Region. The Mission of the program is to create positive lifestyle changes for a lifetime of wellness; implemented through comprehensive group and personal functional exercise programs that incorporate: aerobic, strength, balance flexibility and agility experiences. In addition, specialty classes such as: Gentle Zumba and Yoga classes, Balance and Fall Prevention programs add variety to the program. Group fitness classes are held Mondays through Saturdays, with both day and evening classes being offered. All classes and personal training are conducted by certified group and personal training Instructors with extensive experience in training older adults. Sportset has been in the forefront of providing exercise programs for post cardiac. orthopedic and other rehabilitation members outside the medical and clinical settings since 1992. The post rehabilitation programs provide members with a unique opportunity to improve upon their rehabilitation success through a personalized exercise program that will contribute to the member's return to normal functioning and improving their quality of life. These programs are developed in consultation with the member's physician and/or therapist.
