Signal Peak Silica (SPS) offers in-basin frac sand supply and logistics services to support the oil & gas industry. Our facilities are located in Monahans, Texas, to serve the Permian; Poteet, Texas, to serve the Eagle Ford; and Oakwood, Oklahoma, to serve the SCOOP/STACK. These three regions alone account for over 70% of the 110+ million tons of the estimated frac sand demand in the United States in 2019. With SPS annual capacity at more than 9 million tons across its three plant portfolio, SPS is one of the leading in-basin sand suppliers in the US. The proximity of our facilities to these prolific hydrocarbon producing regions enables us to eliminate much of the cost associated with delivering frac sand from outside of the basin, lowering costs for our customers.
