SPX is involved in a range of social projects, with a particular focus on programmes aimed at ending gender violence or making tourism more accessible to blind people. SPX has developed two apps over the last few years, drawing on its own resources as well as other sources of funding: Save the Woman, an app designed to prevent gender violence. It received a special mention for its ethical value at the seventh edition of the Best Practices Awards, organised by Confindustria Salerno. For more information, visit www.savethewoman.org. Lodestar, an informative support tool for blind tourists. Although it was initially designed for special palm computers, the app can now be used on smartphones under the name ArtStar*, a museum guide that uses iBeacon, and is accessible to everyone.
