St. Aidan's CBS
It serves local areas such as Whitehall, Santry, Beaumont, Drumcondra and Ballymun. There are currently in excess of 700 students attending the school. St Aidan's is one of the ninety eight schools under the leadership of the Edmund Rice School Trust ERST. The ethos and philosophy is based on the vision of Edmund Rice. It endeavours to develop the physical, emotional, intellectual, aesthetic, moral and religious aspects of its students. The school is managed by the Board of Management comprised of representatives of the trustees, teachers and parents. Our mission is to give students, in an atmosphere of mutual care and respect, an appreciation of life as well as skills and knowledge necessary to achieve their full potential in accordance with Christian values. The fact that 5 of our past pupils now teach in the school goes some way to illustrating the strong links which the school has with community and its past. As well as striving for high academic standards the school has an excellent profile of extracurricular activities and is well known for its achievements in both. In recent years, the school's facilities have continued to improve as evidenced by the completion of our new state of the art sports hall and gym as well as a full size 4G all-weather pitch. St Aidan's has an optional Transition Year Programme offered to students who have completed their Junior Certificate as well as The Leaving Certificate Applied and Leaving Certificate Vocational Programmes in senior cycle. As a school and community we continue to grow and endeavour to provide excellence in education for boys in our area. Please see above for details on our policies as well as other essential information on our school and below for the latest news. Enjoy your visit to our website. E-Newsletters
