As a founder of StartFinder with over 15 years experience in a variety of roles in the talent management and acquisition, it is Alan's mission to help talent acquisition leaders develop proactive business strategies to better align their organizations and beat competitors to the right talent. Alan's professional career began at the national firm Source Services in the Technology division where his dreams of a starting a different kind of staffing firm first came to mind. In addition to being a Managing Partner of the Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) divison, Alan is the Founder of the Talent Acquisition Leadership Council (TALC). TALC is an association of over 100 corporate Talent Acquisition executives (Vice Presidents and Directors) representing over 45 organizations. TALC members include recruitment leaders from professional services firms, Federal contractors and Fortune 500 companies. Prior to launching StartFinder, Alan was the Founder and Executive Director of a Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) business for one of the larger, traditional DC based staffing firms where he built a developed and executed the business plan that resulted in over $6 million of revenue within the first three years of operation. Alan was also hired by Brainbench to help build the sales team for a start up online certification and assessment company. While working out of one of the founder's basements, Alan developed a major account sales and marketing plan that lead to the company's overall value increase from $14 million to over $80 million. Additionally, Alan has presented at a number of industry conferences and consulted to an International MBA program on Human Capital Management. Alan received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from University of Maryland College Park. Barry brings over 20 years of experience in all aspects of technology management. His career includes Big Six consulting (Coopers & Lybrand), Fortune 500 IT management (Marriott International), a Silicon Valley startup (NetDynamics, now a division of Sun), and building nationally recognized, award-winning IT departments at the City of Gaithersburg, Maryland as well as the privately held Merkle Inc. While at Merkle, Barry owned direct recruiting responsibility for building a staff of 10 to over a staff of 50 in a six year period personally hiring infrastructure, operations, security and development staff from entry-level up through the Vice President ranks. It was during the great DC snowstorm of 2009 -- while performing back-to-back-to-back-to-back phone interviews with a smile that Barry started discussions with Alan to be a founding partner of StartFinder. In addition to Barry's professional career, he has been involved in numerous start-ups including founding DIGIGOV.NET that received national press and analyst coverage and was eventually acquired by Govolution (now a First American Payment Systems company). StartFinder and CIO Resources are the first entrepreurial ventures where Barry is devoting his full attention and passion. Barry graduated from Purdue University with a BS in computer technology. Barry also holds an MBA from The George Washington University with a custom concentration in technology product management and entrepreneurship.
