STC Footwear

The spirit of STC is one of innovation and to that point STC has come up with a number of innovative solutions to save its end users needs. Often this is accomplished in closely collaborating with our partners to find these innovative solutions. Several examples are listed below. STC developed a very robust internal metguard system (Metatech tm). This was required by our steel industry and mining customers where a less than strong metguard was just not an option. STC was challenged by one of our military customers to come up with a sole that would help their members stay sure footbed a sub zero temperatures. The sole they were using at the time was a great sole but not designed for use at sub zero temperatures. We collaborated with Vibram to help develop the Dri Ice tm rubber sole compound which later evolved into the world class well known Fire & Ice rubber sole compound. When world leader in waterproof - breathable membrane construction W.L. Gore went looking for someone to team up with to develop their next generation of footwear membrane construction methods they landed at the doorstep of STC Footwear. They recognized STC as a very technically adept innovative - open minded footwear manufacturer and embarked on an 18 month development project to develop the Equator Technology platform of extremely breathable waterproof footwear. STC is the 1st company in the world to launch this into production and stock boots with this technology.
