St Cuthbert's Hospice
St Cuthbert's Hospice needs to raise £1.2m each year to supplement the money we get from the NHS. It's a lot to ask, but local people, local business and local and national trust funds get us what we need year in, year out. Even through the recession, you the people have not let up in your determination to help provide the very best palliative care for people with life limiting illness, who really need help. Our team of fund raisers, supported by so many volunteers within our community, stage a variety of large scale events each year, support community money raising initiatives and work with business to collect the cold hard cash. Our Trust Fund specialist targets individual Trust Funds that have been set up locally and nationally which are seeking to give money to causes they deem worthy. The most visible form of fund raising, though, are our many shops and our whole retail operation. They are vital to our operation. It is a joint effort. But most of all, we need your help. We have ten people on any day in our inpatient facility, 75 people visiting our day hospice each week that really appreciate every effort you make.
