Stepping Stone Emergency Housing

Stepping Stone Emergency Housing

Stepping Stone Emergency Housing (SSEH) is the only homeless shelter in Anoka County that accepts single homeless adults. It began serving homeless adults in 1994 under the management of Shiloh Ministries and in 2005 received non-profit status with a Board of Directors appointed in 2007. In September of 2012, we were fortunate to be able to move from our 16 bed facility on Ferry Street to the Cronin Building on the former State Hospital grounds. We are now able to serve up to 45 men and women and in mid summer we plan to have beds for 60 single adults. Our facility is staffed 24 hours a day 7 days a week. n addition to providing shelter, we also provide mentoring and life skills training for all our residents to promote long term life success.
