The Steuben County Industrial Development Agency (SCIDA) has county responsibility for securing new investment in manufacturing and domestic services sectors and for encouraging existing county enterprises in Steuben County to expand their businesses. Led by James P. Sherron and funded through a combination of private and public sector monies, SCIDA has successfully brought a number of successful businesses into Steuben County over the past several years. Steuben County is an attractive location for investment and development through its network of offices and affiliates throughout the county, emphasizing the stability and growing competitiveness of the Western New York economy, the favorable tax opportunities and financial incentives through the Steuben Empire Development Zone, and the skills base of our highly educated and highly skilled workforce.
