St. Helena High School
St. Helena Unified School District provides student support services to address the emotional and social health of our students. Coordinated by Leigh Paris, a credentialed school counselor, our goal is to work as a team of professionals to provide services to those students who may be struggling in their academic and personal lives. Two main goals guide our efforts: to improve academic achievement, often by improving school attendance, and to reduce drug and alcohol use. Accomplishing these goals can require the stabilization of any number of complex factors that challenge, frustrate and threaten our youth. It also requires the coordination of schools, social services and agencies dedicated to youth and family well being. Teens may seek support services for themselves or be referred by others. Then, with their family's involvement, they may receive individual or family counseling and/or participate in group counseling following an assessment. They may also be referred to a full range of services available in St. Helena and Napa County.
