St Nicholas School

St. Nicholas School was founded in 1958, as a neighborhood kindergarten and a mission of Grace Episcopal Church. In the early 1970's it added a pre-kindergarten level to establish the Early Learning Center, and began adding elementary grades. The first class of sixth graders graduated in 1978. The school became separately incorporated in 1981. As the academic program grew, the need for more classroom space became critical. The school purchased the former Crossroads of Chattanooga hospital site in the summer of 1993, and after renovations and adaptation for classroom use, St. Nicholas moved to the new campus in the summer of 1994.
