Stockport County have struck a deal with Sedulo for the accountancy and financial services firm to sponsor the Hatters in the FA Cup and FA Trophy this season. In a unique deal, Sedulo has sponsored the club with a five figure sum - regardless of how far the Hatters progress in both competitions this season. County's Commercial Manager Simon Dawson said: "It's the first time we have ever done a deal of this nature, where neither party knows exactly what the outcome will be! It will be a very interesting journey, so we're delighted to have our friends from Sedulo on board as our Official Cup Sponsors for 2016/17." Sedulo's Managing Director Paul Cheetham said: "I have been coming to County since the early 80's and we have a number of staff who, like myself, were born in Stockport and are County fans. When we sat down with Simon to discuss our potential involvement this season, we were very excited by this new approach to sponsorship. If the club has a tremendous cup run this season, then we'll get fantastic value for money and extended exposure throughout the season. On the other hand, if they fall at the first hurdle in both cup competitions, it could be the worst deal in history!" The deal will see Sedulo named as Match Sponsors for every round of the FA Cup and FA Trophy held at Edgeley Park, starting this weekend when the Hatters entertain neighbours Hyde United in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup. Simon Dawson said: "This is a brilliant deal for County's Commercial Department, as it takes away the pressure of finding a match sponsor for every home draw, often at short notice. There is an element of gamble and risk involved for both parties as it is a fixed value deal, but both of us see this is an innovative way to cement our relationship and we're very grateful to the team at Sedulo for running with us on this one." Sedulo are a firm of business advisors and financial consultants based in Manchester. They provide accountancy, tax, wealth management, business funding and payroll contractor services to their clients. We have been working with Sedulo as our advisors now for almost 10 years.
