SBS started its operation in December 2015. STRAWTEC Building Solutions Ltd produces Straw Panels; innovative high-performance wall systems "Made in Rwanda", with a core made from compressed agricultural straw fibers for partitioning and construction. STRAWTEC materials have been certified by the Rwanda Standards Board and its building technology of combining straw panels, light steel frames and fibre cement board has been approved by Rwanda Housing Authority as a solution to housing and building needs. STRAWTEC building materials have big advantages compared with its competition regarding price, speed of construction and durability of materials. STRAWTEC Building Solutions Ltd has assembled a strong and experienced management team and Board to accomplish its vision. For the last 10 years, housing and construction sectors in Rwanda have grown at a rate of 8% p.a..
