STSci- Space Telescope Science Institute

The Space Telescope Science Institute was founded in 1982 in Baltimore, Maryland in 1982. The Space Telescope Science Institute is an educational center that provides scientific research, science programs, and astronomy programs. The Institute creates HST and JWST news, outreach and education programs. STScI consists of scientists (mostly astronomers and astrophysicists), software engineers, data management and telescope operations personnel, education and public outreach experts, and administrative and business support personnel.
