Studio Hamburg

Studio Hamburg Enterprises GmbH, with its headquarters in Hamburg and a branch office in Mainz, is a joint venture between Studio Hamburg Distribution & Marketing GmbH and ZDF Enterprises GmbH, who have a 50 percent share respectively. Under executive director Christian Rönsch, the company purchases and distributes feature films and TV licences, particularly in the DVD/Blu-ray market. The company is expanding its activities in the field of archive material, marketing a film stock of approx. 1,500 titles which represents a significant part of the ARD and ZDF contribution to German TV history. DVD releases of current titles from the schedules of both broadcasting groups will also be handled by Studio Hamburg Enterprises; furthermore, parts of the GDR TV archive will continue to be distributed for the home entertainment market via Studio Hamburg. Studio Hamburg Enterprises publishes over 150 productions annually.
