Studierendenwerk Thüringen

As a non-profit public institution, it contributes significantly to an excellent study environment. Starting with the foundation of our predecessor institution "Jenaer Studentenhilfe e.V." in 1921, it can refer to a long tradition and extensive experience in social support of students. After the reunification of Germany, the Studentenwerk Thüringen was founded in 1990. Due to various restructuring measures, the Studentenwerk Thüringen was first divided into several Studentenwerke and then reunited into one organization. Since 2007 there has again been a Thuringia-wide Studierendenwerk and the long-standing employees have been able to gain a wide range of experience in various organizational structures and merger processes. Today, the services offered by the Studierendenwerk Thüringen include dining halls and cafeterias, housing, student finance, childcare, counselling, cultural and international affairs. We are social.
