STX Engine Co., Ltd. is a Korea-based company engaged in the manufacture of diesel engines and development of power generation and environmental facilities. The Company produces high-, medium- and low-speed engines for shipbuilding industry such as liquefied natural gas (LNG) vessels and container carriers; special engines for defense industry, such as tanks, self-propelled howitzers and military vessels. The Company also supplies power generation facilities, such as gas engines, gas turbines, power generators and alternative energy power generation systems, and environment facilities, such as fuel gas desulphurization facilities, electrostatic precipitators and nitrogen-oxide desulphurization facilities. During the year ended December 31, 2007, engines for shipbuilding industry accounted for approximately 74% of the total sales.
