Suelopetrol C.A. S.A.C.A

Suelopetrol was constituted on January 26th, 1984 by a group of Venezuelan investors who understood the country's demand for specialized seismic services to support the expansion of the local Oil Industry. That same year, Lagoven (one of the original PDVSA subsidiaries) awarded Suelopetrol a contract to perform a seismic study in Northern Monagas which combined, for the first time in the country's history, explosives and high power vibrators on buggies as an energy resource to perform Seismic Studies. From that moment a successful story sparked in the Seismic arena, characterized by the comprehensive use of technology, study methodology and the ability to record high quality data under extremely difficult geographic conditions. Our first experience in complex areas was in the Delta del Orinoco swamps where Suelopetrol recorded 4,120 km of 2D data. Since then, every seismic survey executed for the Venezuelan Oil Industry helped Suelopetrol to differentiate itself from its competitors, due to knowledge of local culture, land, regulations and idiosyncrasy.
