His love for the mountains brought him to Colorado where he spent many years living the life of a professional ski bum in both Steamboat and Telluride, Colorado. Ultimately his love for the sea won out and he decided to trade ski boots for flip flops when he moved to St John, VI with his girlfriend and 3 dogs.
