Superior Shingles & Wood Products (SSWP) based in Guyana, South America is the manufacturer of Turada® Hardwood Shingles. The company's modern shingle plant assures production that meets the highest standards of quality in the industry. This state-of-the-art facility has been in operation since 2001 and has the capacity to produce approximately 250,000 square feet of shingles per month. SSWP has a team of approximately 50 employees who are skilled in various positions from production to management. Our supply chain process also provides indirect employment to over 150 indigenous workers stretching geographically from the plant to the forest. The production of Turada® Hardwood Shingles contributes to sustainable livelihoods in Guyana, as raw material (blocks) are purchased from a wide range of small and medium scale suppliers using environmentally-friendly logging methods. As long-standing members of the Guyana Manufacturers Association we have been the recipient of various awards over the years.
