Seaton Valley Federation
Astley Community High School is a mixed 13-18 comprehensive school maintained by Northumberland County Council. We are part of the Seaton Valley Federation of Schools, together with Whytrig and Seaton Sluice Middle Schools. We are proud of being a school at the heart of the local community. Whilst promoting a collective ethos of fulfilment, individual value and enjoyment, we acknowledge that our young people are individuals who possess differing strengths but are entitled to an effective education. Our purpose is to provide a learning environment in which we facilitate the best possible variety of opportunities and challenges to enable all to achieve their potential. Students at our school have acccess to in-school careers support and independent careers advice, our community library, indoor swimming pool and Apple Mac Creative Suite. Our recent Ofsted report shows that we are striving to provide a good standard of education. We aim to provide a wide range of curriculum subjects, while acknowledging the individual needs of our pupils. We strive to teach our students important skills through a range of curriculum and extra curricular activities to prepare them for employment and further education. Our 6th form is very popular with in excess of 65% of our pupils continuing their studies here after their GCSEs. We are rightly proud of our school and look forward to meeting you.
