Strathmore Vintage Vehicle Club

The Strathmore Vintage Vehicle Club was founded in 1968 and became a company limited by guarantee in 1988 and in 2012 became a registered charity. It is through the commitment and dedication of successive committee members, club members and helpers that the club has grown in stature. The SVVC is recognised as one of the foremost organisations dedicated to the preservation and restoration of historic vehicles, and to establishing the history behind them. The club is progressive and welcomes new members who share the interest in vintage vehicles and the social history which is moulded around them. Within the membership of the club there exists a wealth of knowledge across the spectrum of historic transport and equipment and members can assist with general enquiries. The SVVC is proud to have realised a lifelong ambition to have a fixed focal point for club activities located under one roof. The construction of bespoke premises on the site of the former Glamis railway Station was completed in 2011. Aptly named Bridge View House, the facility boasts a number of elements which members can use to advantage and which are receiving accolades from other organisations internationally.
