The year 2014 marks 50 years that Schlenner Wenner & Co. has been in business. The firm was started in 1964 by Richard Kerber as a sole proprietorship. James Schlenner and Michael Wenner joined the firm in 1979 and became Partners in 1985. Since then, the firm has grown to 10 shareholders and 58 staff, including 31 CPA's. While the early days were focused on tax services, today we offer a full range of services including: ·Individual Taxes ·Business Taxes ·Accounting Services-Compilations and Reviews ·Auditing For Profit Not For Profit Governmental School Districts ·Business Valuations ·Payroll Services ·Quickbooks Services ·Consulting in Multiple Areas Firm growth has necessitated moves from our original St. Cloud Third Street location, to the 28th Ave location in 1987, and finally to our new building at 630 Roosevelt Road in 2008. In addition, through growth and mergers, we now serve clients from offices located in Albany, Little Falls, Maple Lake, and Monticello. Consequently, Schlenner Wenner & Co. has grown to be one of the largest firms in outstate Minnesota and is constantly ranked in the Top 25 CPA Firms in Minnesota as determined by the Twin Cities Business Magazine. This continuing growth and success has been made possible through the blessing of wonderful clients, many of whom have been with us for all or most of our 50 year journey. We hope to continue to serve both old and new clients by following our mission statement: "The mission of Schlenner Wenner & Co. is to assist our clients in attaining their business and financial goals by providing exceptional service and expertise in tax, accounting, auditing and consulting." Since 2003, our mission and our unique ability to serve our clients have been enhanced through our participation in the McGladrey Alliance. Through this alliance we maintain our independence and decision making while we are provided with access to all the resources of the fifth largest accounting firm in the world. Of course, our greatest resource is our staff. We are fortunate to have a very dedicated and hardworking staff, many of whom have been with us for over twenty years. We could not be where we are today without them. Finally, it continues to be our great fortune and privilege to live, work, and play in Central Minnesota. As we celebrate our 50th year in business, our goal for the year is to raise $50,000 and donate it to charities throughout the communities we serve!
