SWM Environment Sdn Bhd (SWM) is an integrated solid waste management and public cleansing service provider for states in the southern region of Malaysia. Established in 1997 to undertake one of the largest privatizations in the field of solid waste management in Malaysia, SWM works closely with the Federal Government to shape the nation's sustainability framework as part of the National Key Result Area, under the Economic Transformation Programme. SWM services over 5.1 million people and manages between 4500-5000 tonnes of waste daily across a geographical region of 27,560 km. This includes Johore, Malacca and Negeri Sembilan. With staff strength close to 6000 SWMers, we support 27 local authorities, manage 21 disposal facilities, operate 25 workshops and depots and manage over 552 subcontractors. Much of SWM' success can be attributed to our vast experience in experience of waste collection and disposal, public cleansing, landfill management, waste water treatment, composting, waste sorting and recycling whilst being supported by a strong team of passionate experts from within.
