Synapsys Systems (Proprietary) Limited was founded in 1997 as a specialist software distributor and has been the Authorized Acronis Distributor for on-premises solutions in South Africa and Africa since 2003. Synapsys Distribution (Proprietary) Limited was founded in 2016, coinciding with the release of the Acronis Cyber Cloud service provider platform, to service the MSP market. The Synapsys group of companies is privately held, channel-centric and committed to delivering Acronis Cyber Protection solutions to thousands of satisfied customers through an extensive network of sub-distributors, resellers and managed services providers in South Africa and across the continent. Company founder has served in a number of capacities in some of the world's leading IT companies, including IBM and Microsoft, where he served as an international executive. He has over thirty-five years' experience in all aspects of the computer industry - technical, sales, distribution, marketing, financial and executive management. Former Managing Director has extensive experience in both enterprise technical consulting and sales, and is an Acronis Certified Engineer, Acronis Certified Trainer, and Acronis Certified Mobility Specialist.
