We also offer extended childcare for our children which includes a breakfast club and an after school club for everyone. We have a specialist resource base for children with Visual Impairment with qualified staff and in 2008 we had an extension built on the school to accommodate a Children's Centre. This is a superb facility for pre-school children and their families. We use the International Primary Curriculum to plan exciting and interesting topics. During the school year all children from Nursery to Year 6 take part in extra activities connected to their class topics which are funded by the school. These include out-of-school visits, walks around the local area and many visitors to our school, including artists, theatre groups, musicians and even a farm! Years 4 to 6 all have the opportunity to partake in residential visits. Our all weather floodlit games area is a great asset used by both our children and the local community. We promote excellent behaviour by emphasising the positive. very week we hold special assemblies where a child from each class is chosen as Star of the Week. Also at the end of each term we hold a celebration assembly where the children's achievements are recognised by the whole school.
