Tab Systems Inc. specializes in the development and production of multi-modal biometric systems for identification, access control, time & attendance and building automation. We develop and manufacture smarti® - a complete access control and time & attendance solution based on multimodal biometrics using face and voice recognition. Multiple functions, high reliability, adaptability and unlimited connectivity mean it can be used in business/corporate environments, high security environments, building automation… An additional advantage of this great product is the integration of multiple additional features (video intercom, video & IP phone, video messaging, video surveillance…) into one compact device for a reasonable price. smarti® is also completely protocol independent and can therefore be used to control almost any kind of I/O device (electronic locks, lights, alarm systems, finger print scanners, magnetic card readers...). Designed with flexibility in mind, smarti® can be used for many applications within: business/corporate and high security environments, for home/building automation etc. Since October 2004, when smarti® was first introduced on the Security 2004 in Essen, we have developed six new units. In September 2009 smarti® won the Merlion Award in the category of Others in Singapore. In May 2009 smarti® was declared Access Control Product of the Year by the BSIA (British Security Industry Association) at the IFSEC 2009 Security Industry Awards. In November 2008 smarti® received the Highly Commended Product Award at the finals for the Detektor International Awards 2008. It was nominated four times in a row, in the years 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and in 2010 by the BSIA among six best products in the world in the "Best New Access Control Product" category. It was nominated as a finalist at the Security Excellence Awards in the "Security Innovation of the Year" category in the years 2008 and 2009. In the years 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 smarti® also got an award from the Slovenian Chamber of commerce for "Best innovation" and it was displayed in the gallery of innovations on the Slovenian forum of innovation Hevreka! in the years 2006 and 2008. Tab Systems market smarti® in more then 30 countries around the globe. And the system is translated fourteen languages: English, German, French, Slovenian, Croatian, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Russian, Arabic, Swedish, Greek and Turkish.
