Talquin Electric

Talquin Electric was founded in June of 1940 by a group of 200 rural Florida residents who together, formed the Talquin Electric Cooperative to combat the other utility providers that wouldn't build lines into sparsely populated areas because it was not profitable or economically feasible at the time. Now helping out members in Talquin, Liberty, Leon & Wakulla counties, Talquin Electric is committed to working with local economic development entities to improve the quality of life for its members. Talquin continually works with businesses and community leaders in this arena to promote jobs and encourage local business growth.
