Tamex Transport Services Pty Ltd (Tamex) is the smart choice for time critical freight. With a niche-market position as the first carrier in town across regional NSW and QLD, Tamex is committed to excellence and consistently delivering outstanding customer outcomes. Founded in Tamworth, NSW, in November 1991, Tamex Transport offered country-based customers in the Northwest region of NSW an express overnight freight service. Customer demand quickly saw Tamex increase its distribution area to include overnight services to Southeast Queensland, Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and Dubbo. Further expansion in 1996 saw the commencement of connecting overnight services between Newcastle and Brisbane (and all points in between). In 2003 the network extended into Northern Queensland. Today, the Tamex Group offers a premium express freight network servicing customers with time-critical freight requirements across NSW and Queensland and through national networks is able to deliver time critical freight throughout Australia. Tamex has achieved TruckSafe accreditation. TruckSafe Pty Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary company of the Australian Trucking Association. TruckSafe is a business and risk management system that is aimed at improving the safety and professionalism of trucking operators nationwide. TruckSafe accreditation is based on four key standards in Management, Maintenance, Workplace and Driver Health, and Training. Accreditation is updated every six months. Tamex is also committed to minimising its impact upon the environment. We have an extensive environmental management program and we are Clean Fleet accredited by the Roads & Traffic Authority. Our entire staff, agents and subcontractors are 'real people' providing 'real service'.
