Tasco Appliances
In 1954, when the existing building was erected at 3041 Dufferin Street, Tasco was a small corner of Richardson's Furniture Store. In the 1960's the building and the business were purchased by the fathers of the present owners. Yorkdale Mall was under construction at the time. In the early 1970's, the families decided to dedicate their efforts to appliance sales. Tasco Distributors took its present form, quickly becoming Toronto's preeminent appliance store. Sales grew from a largely builder-based clientele to a retail outlet for Toronto's discriminating homeowners. In those days, Tasco's management realized the value of a well-trained sales staff, backed by a competent support system and a commitment to excellence, which is still embraced by the current owners and employees. Continuous training and helpful advice are the hallmarks of our success. In the 1980's and 1990's, Tasco's retail sales continued to grow at a rapid pace, augmented by success in selling to the growing condominium market and the quickly developing renovation market. These latest developments have led Tasco to start a new division for the Kitchen Designer market. Much of our success is owed to our ability to perceive and grasp new opportunities in Toronto's growth and development. By being in the forefront of changes and advances in the housing industries and growth in the marketplace, Tasco has made itself the favourite dealer of suppliers of new and innovative appliances. New, high quality appliances are always on Tasco's sales floor first. The payoff for Tasco is a better-informed, more satisfied customer, who will not only come back for his next appliance purchase; he will send his family and friends to share the experience of a comfortable, low-pressure sale and lasting satisfaction.
