Tavrida Electric is a global company with its roots in Estonia, specialized in developing and manufacturing medium-voltage switchgear products for indoor and outdoor applications. More than 25 years ago, Tavrida was the first ever company to launch a vacuum circuit breaker with a magnetic drive. Now, with over 500,000 vacuum circuit breakers and 70,000 reclosers produced and installed in more than 80 different countries, Tavrida has become one of the world's top three suppliers of medium-voltage vacuum switchgear. Thanks to its ongoing, extensive research into magnetic actuators, vacuum breakers and the required insulation design, Tavrida has already developed the VCB15_LD as the most compact, lightweight and reliable circuit breaker on the market. Just in time for HANNOVER MESSE 2018, the company has now created an even more compact device - and it also delivers improved performance. The new VCB15_MDD, on show for the first time in Hannover, is some 20 percent smaller than the previous model, with ratings of 1250 A, 31.5 kA and 17.5 kV.
