Taxa is developing the infrastructure which makes it easier, cheaper and faster to genetically engineer plants. We are the team behind Glowing Plant, which was the first ever Kickstarter campaign for a synthetic biology application. Our long term ambition is to develop a 'cloud laboratory' focused on plant synthetic biology in order make genetic engineering of plants available to a broader participant group; we are just beginning to offer that service to partner app developers. This role will help develop and expand our plant transformation capabilities. We work out of a lab in SOMA which is 2 blocks from Caltrain. This is a small startup team so there is significant opportunity to contribute to growth in our capabilities and to define and grow the role.
