We co-found two fast-growing and sustainable internet companies each year. We partner with successful business starters and managers as well as the most talented young entrepreneurs who become the CEOs of the companies we start together. Sometimes we build a company around a founder with a product or technology; sometimes we look for ideas together with a future CEO; sometimes we create a setup and find a CEO as a co-founder and operator. Our role as a company builder is to find ideas, provide capital, form strategic partnerships (typically distribution deals or product/tech licensing), provide expert resources (legal, finance, online marketing, tech) and last but not least talent flow (co-founders, domain experts). As active, hands-on board members, we support our companies through their entire lifecycle. Depending on the depth of our value creation, we take either majority or minority stakes in the companies we co-found. While most of our companies are headquartered in Berlin, Germany, many operate internationally. Our ambition is to build global champions, regional leaders or to simply create products or services that we believe make the world a better place or that we are passionate about. We also invest in existing startups indirectly via our partner, Point Nine Capital, which is a globally active early-stage venture capital fund.
