TeamWorld is committed to participating in environmentally friendly actions and the protection of our planet. Over the years, we have built environmental considerations into our company's processes - from development and design, to manufacturing and operations, to customer use and end-of-life product disposition. While we are proud of the significant progress we have made so far, we know there is still much more to do. Our recycling and reuse rates in our facilities have also increased dramatically over the years, reducing the percentage of materials that are land-filled. We also use recycled content in our internal and external publications. We reuse packing materials from shipments we receive, and our shipping boxes are made from recycled cardboard and material. TeamWorld also utilizes motion sensor lighting throughout our 110,000 square foot warehouse that help keeps energy usage to a minimum while maximizing efficiency. TeamWorld strives to have email and phone communications be the primary form of communication with our clients as opposed to paper mailing. We currently use our computers to send and receive faxes, which helps to cut down on paper since the faxes come in just like emails - with no need to print them. Our goal was to reduce the amount of paper that we used in our communication with our clients as we continue to look for new innovative ways. We keep the heating and cooling of our facilities at the most optimal temperature to ensure we are utilizing energy in the most efficient manner. To be more efficient with our energy usage it is policy for the employees of TeamWorld to shut down their computers upon leaving for the day. TeamWorld also employs Energy Star compliant hardware to reduce energy consumption, employs virtualization software technology to reduce server hardware, and disposes of IT equipment according to state and county computer recycling standards.
