Teatri Oda

Teatri Oda was founded in 2002 in Prishtina, Kosovo, shortly after the war with Slobodan Milosevic's Serb forces and the breakup of Yugoslavia. (Kosovo, which officially declared independence in 2008 after nine years as a UN protectorate, is predominately ethnically Albanian and closely tied to the neighboring nation of Albania.) Teatri Oda was the first independent arts organization in the region, and is committed to the professional development of the theatrical art, encouraging inter-relations with other arts, and building a strong cultural foundation for coming generations.
