Texas Vocational Schools

Texas Vocational Schools offer scholarships through Career Colleges and Schools of Texas (CCST). These $1000 scholarships are applied to tuition and fees. Interested high school seniors should contact their high school counselor for an application. Additionally, Texas Vocational Schools offers scholarships in three of our approved programs: Advanced Combination Welding, and Accounting Office Assistant, Paralegal/ Legal Assistant. These scholarships are available to students currently enrolled in one of the programs at Texas Vocational Schools. What does TVS cost? The various programs of study at TVS have different clock hour/credit hour requirements, so the total tuition cost will depend on the numbers of hours required for the program chosen. For those who qualify, TVS assists students with payment plans and financial aid paperwork. What types of financial assistance does TVS offer? TVS participates in the Federal Pell Grant and FSEOG programs. These federal grants are based upon the student and/or familys financial need and do not have to be repaid. Additionally, William D. Ford Direct Student and Parent loans are available. All student and/or parent loans must be repaid. All federal financial aid is contingent upon the student meeting the federal required qualifications. Other sources of student aid include the following: Texas Rehabilitation Commission, Texas Commission for the Blind, WIA, CCST Scholarships, and TVS Scholarships. Does TVS offer placement assistance? It is the combined function of Texas Vocational Schools personnel to prepare our students in such a manner that they will enjoy success in finding the right job. We will help them prepare resumes, instruct them in employment searching techniques, and advise them in the most productive ways to secure the job they desire. However, TVS cannot nor will not guarantee employment for current students or graduates.
