Theatre Britain

Theatre Britain is a professional, nonprofit theatre company producing shows by British playwrights at the Cox Building Playhouse in Downtown Plano. Over the years we have garnered multiple nominations and awards, most notably from the Dallas Fort Worth Critics Forum. In addition, Theatre Britain has been recognized as an outstanding contributor to Dallas Fort Worth theatre by The Dallas Morning News, the DMN Mom's Blog, the Dallas Observer and the Dallas Voice. In addition to our acclaimed productions of British comedy and drama, we are home to the only authentic panto in North Texas. Panto is a traditional British holiday show and is a fairytale told in the style of a melodrama. It's a family friendly show in which we encourage everyone to cheer for the good guys, boo and hiss the villain and join in with the characters on stage. Theatre Britain is one of only a handful of companies in the US producting panto.
