The Burchell Group is proud of the honor it received this fall, in recognition for the hard work and dedication we’ve put forth in recent years. We’re proud to announce The Burchell Group has been awarded #23 of the fastest growing companies in Houston for 2016’s Fast 100 List by the Houston Business Journal. Nearly 200 companies submitted applications to be considered for this honor, a list designed to recognize the fastest-growing private companies in the Houston metro area. The list is fairly comprehensive and far-reaching, from urgent care centers and engineering firms to caterers and construction firms. Others on the list included banks, bioscience labs, realty firms, technology companies, web designers, architects, party rental providers, and swim academies. Winners appeared in the Houston Business Journal's September 9 edition. The Fast 100 List ranks companies by two-year revenue growth between the years of 2013 and 2015. In order to be considered for inclusion on this prestigious list, companies must: •   Be based in the Houston metro area, including Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, San Jacinto and Waller. •   Have closed five full fiscal years by Dec. 31, 2015 •   Have made at least $1 million in revenue for fiscal year 2015 •   Be for-profit •   Be privately held •   Not be a franchise or public company The companies’ achievements were celebrated in a special Fast 100 Awards ceremony held at the Royal Sonesta. The Burchell Group was proud to be represented among such amazing companies fueled by the same desire to grow and achieve through innovation and risk taking initiatives. These companies have all flourished despite the stagnant state of the oil industry, a weak economy and job losses in the energy sector. To offset that, however, job gains in other sectors have begun to offset those energy losses, with particular regards to the strong petrochemical construction growth right now.
