Naples Sailing

The Naples Sailing and Yacht Club is known throughout the community to be a club with a very active social calendar. Members have an opportunity to be involved socially as much as they like. Our social calendar starts out with our annual Commodore's Ball on January 28. This is a formal event where we honor the outgoing Commodore and welcome the new Commodore and his officers. This event features a lovely dinner followed by dancing to the sounds of the Bob Gattney Band. We continue the fun in February with our Black Tie Valentines Ball. Enjoy a wonderful meal prepared by Chef Ralph and his crew and dance the night away to the sounds of Phoenix. Also in the month of February an old friend returns to the Club, dust off your passports and take a tour of the world at World Fest. Each room at the Club will be converted to a different country complete with authentic food and décor. In March we continue the fun with not one but two dinner shows. On the 4th we return Club favorite Barbary Coast for a fun evening of good old American classics. On March 11th the Club is honored to have John Davidson performing his hits from the last 40 years. We finish off the month of March with an exciting St. Patrick's Dinner Dance with Mixed Nuts and on the 25th we celebrate the Fleet Review. The 2005 Fleet Review will be a truly special event, so mark your calendars. The dinner shows continue in the month of April when on April Fools the Club welcomes comedian Robin Roth to the stage. This Las Vegas veteran is sure to have you in stitches. We say goodbye on April 22nd at the End of Season Event which is going to be a Casino Night based on the famous James Bond movie Casino Royale. This is going to be a night to remember at the Club. In May the run for the roses takes place right here in Naples. An old favorite returns as the Club hosts the annual Kentucky Derby Party. On the 20th we celebrate the Key West attitude at the Club with a Margaritaville Party. Dust off your dancing shoes as the Beach Guys perform all of the classic hits. I can't think of a better spot to watch the fireworks from the Pier than right here at the NSYC. Make your reservations early for this great event, it is sure to be a sell out. In October the 2nd Annual Florida Stone Crab fest returns to the Club. For those who attended last year you know this is an event you don't want to miss. All you can eat stone crabs, what could be better? On the 27th we celebrate the Club's 42nd birthday in style; and evening of outstanding food and music by Billy Dean and Dawn. In November the Club transforms into a classic night club from the historic days of Havana as we celebrate Hot Latin Nights; authentic Latin food and dancing to the sounds of the Vine Street Rumba Band. We close out the year with some fantastic events in December. On the 1st and the 2nd we celebrate the Boat Lighting Event. Are you looking for that one event to get you in the holiday spirit?
