The Quilted Crow
The Quilted Crow was launched as "The Quilted Garden", an on-line shop in July of 1999 - starting out with 50 items in inventory. Wendy Daugherty started the business out of her love for quilting, but in 2001, with 5 active sons and a very successful growing business, Wendy decided to sell and focus her time on her family. So in April of 2001, Wendy sold the on-line business toMarianne Kennedy. In November of 2002 Marianne opened up the "brick and mortar" part of the shop in Boxborough MA adjacent to a tea shop . . . what could go better than "tea and quilts"? She changed the name to "The Quilted Crow" to reflect her love of folk art. Unfortunately, the tea shop closed September 2009. But, fortunately for us, and for you, we quickly took over that space and have doubled the size of The Quilted Crow! Marianne decided to sell The Quilted Crow so that she could spend more time with her family and in July of 2006, Donna Ellis and Linda Ficaro purchased The Quilted Crow. In May of 2007 Sue Loring joined with Donna Ellis to form a new partnership. Since then, The Quilted Crow has grown in size and reputation to be known as a place of learning and inspiration for many quilters and needle work enthusiasts alike. As of January 2011, Sue became the sole owner of The Quilted Crow. On December 1, 2015, The Crow moved to its new home at 626 Main Street in Bolton, MA. Our new location is bigger and brighter with a larger classroom. We look forward to many years of inspiration with the help of our excellent staff and some of the most talented teachers in New England. Our goal is to help you create works of art and family heirlooms that will bless family and friends for generations.
