Spanish Club

The Spanish Club Hogar Español is an institution established in 1969 in the heart of the Spanish Community on Johnston Street, Fitzroy, Melbourne. It is one of the last remaining Spanish Social Clubs in Australia. Hogar Español translates to Spanish Home and as the name suggests The Spanish Club's initial aim was to provide a home away from home for the Spanish immigrants who settled in Australia in the late fifties and early sixties. Although this is still a strong focus of the club we now also invite the general public to join and partake in events, excursions, fiestas or a simple night of tapas and wine through becoming social club members. There are different levels of memberships to suit everyone. You don't have to be Spanish to enjoy what the Club has to offer!
