The Star Group, Inc. was established in 1998. Our Founder, Susan A. Wheeler maintains the role of Chief Executive Officer and President today. James P. Miller IV joined the company as a partner in Jan. 2004, adding his financial expertise, and assumes the role of Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President. Michael J. Haggerty became a partner in July 2010 in the role of Chief Operating Officer and Secretary/Treasurer of the company, and contributes his vast experience gained in working over 34 years for Department of Social Services, primarily as the Senior Employment Coordinator. The Star Group, Inc. is also a New York State Certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise by the New York Department of Economic Development, Division of Minority and Womens Business Development. Our team of professionals, or our "Stars" as we call them, continue to grow as The Star Group, Inc. has consistently expanded services and expertise over the years into a varied spectrum of programs since our inception. Our client and customer base are diversified, and covers all of upstate New York, as well as into Pennsylvania.
