Third Gear

Third Gear was started in 2010 with one simple goal in mind; provide top quality motorcycle parts and accessories at a competitive price while offering awesome service. It all began when I bought my first motorcycle and I started shopping around for a tank bag. I visited numerous retail stores in Melbourne and searched online but didn't have much luck. The thought of spending $150 on a small bag wasn't quite the value I was after. Sure there were plenty of affordable options overseas but the cost of international at the time meant the bag would once again go over my budget. With a few bucks in my pocket and the desire to break away from the everyday grind I set to work to achieve my goal. Hours of research later I found a supplier and a couple months after that I managed to save up enough money for the first order. I can still remember the fear of losing my hard earned cash when I walked into the bank that day to do an international bank transfer. As I have never met the person who worked at the factory I could have been sending money to anyone. The good news is though the bags were received and sold out in two weeks.
