Tidal Construction Company
"Tidal Construction Company operates under the name of Tidal Homes, and we are proud of the relationships we've developed with the homeowners who've entrusted us with their dreams. Our role has always been to help the new home buyer balance head and heart," says Anthony. "Finding the right builder means you can trust them to help you make not only good but smart decisions." "We have satisfied homeowners time and again because we do our best every single day," John adds, "and we ensure that The Tidal Experience doesn't end with the turn of the key." Anthony, a graduate of Georgia Tech, began building homes in 1986, and, not long after that, he met John Meeks, an experienced builder from an old Richmond Hill family. They soon formed a partnership that has lasted two decades. Anthony handles the business side and meets with new customers, helping them design or customize floor plans and the exterior look of their home. Then, John takes it from there and supervises the overall construction, from laying the foundation to the final walkthrough. It takes the collaboration of several Tidal teams, from design to construction to customer service, to deliver The Tidal Experience. A couple of years ago, Tidal made a significant change in how they do business. They were determined to reduce the emotional stress endured by those choosing to build a new home by reducing the number of decisions and trade-offs the new home owner has to make during the building process in order to stay within a budget. In addition, they sought ways to improve at building high quality, energy-efficient homes. "We knew what upgrades were most requested by our customers," Anthony said, "and decided to make them standard in each Tidal home. Some of those upgrades are also energy-smart choices." First on the list was to switch over to building with all-brick exteriors. They knew that one of the most environmentally friendly and energy-efficient things you can do is to build with brick: a natural product that is a great insulating material and nearly maintenance free. Next, they wanted each home's envelope to be tightly constructed with little or no air leakage, so they switched to spray foam insulation. Although spray foam insulation may cost more to install, it can save their homeowners up to 50% on energy bills. Perhaps the most popular upgrade was granite kitchen countertops. It turns any kitchen into a warm and elegant space, providing a lifetime of beauty with appropriate care. Complementing the granite is the custom cabinetry throughout each Tidal home. "A Tidal Home has almost everything you want - no options needed," concludes John. "We build-in more features than most any other builder in our price range." Anthony Register and John Meeks still love what they do after two decades, and it shows in every home they build. Why not love the place you live, too?
