Tienda

Our family founded Tienda in 1996. We followed one simple principal: To provide the grace, warmth, and intimacy of Spain that brings joy to our life as a family. The purpose of Tienda is to make accessible quality products that are not generally available outside of Spain. We also strive to provide excellent service and information to help you enjoy the authentic flavor of Spain in your home. Our family consists of Don Harris, a retired US Navy chaplain and Ruth, his wife of 37 years who is the music librarian at the College of William & Mary, and their three sons. Jonathan, a Fine Arts college graduate, is responsible for the design of the Tienda.com website, as well as the day-to-day operations of the company. He grew to know Spain intimately as he walked the breadth of Spain along the Camino to Santiago in 1993. In 2000 he walked part of the Camino again with his wife Stacey on their honeymoon. They have a daughter named Sarah, the first girl in the Harris family in three generations! Tim, his older brother, also has lived in Spain including some time in Sevilla. He is responsible for importing products from Spain, and manages Tienda.com with Jonathan, drawing from his experience as a founder of Teetimes.com, an innovative Internet golf company. His wife Amy is a part of our management team, and their toddler son Sam brings joy to our whole family. And recently they were joined by a second son, Ben! Christopher, their younger brother, was born in Rota, Cádiz and studied in La Coruña. He and his wife Rian have travelled across Spain. He helps with marketing research and manages our affiliate program.
