Tiscover, headquartered in Innsbruck (Tirol/Austria), was founded in 1991 as TIS GmbH and developed Austria's first electronic tourism information system. TIS@WEB, one of the world's first travel sites, was launched in 1995. www.tiscover.com, the travel portal for the Alpine area, features over 25,000 accommodations available for online booking. With 23 million visitors, 420 million page impressions and over a million enquiries and bookings in 2008, Tiscover is one of the world's most successful travel sites. In March 2008, meanwhile transformed into a corporation, TISCOVER AG was taken over by Colgone-based HRS - HOTEL RESERVATION SERVICE Robert Ragge GmbH.
